🎤 Class Assemblies @ IEAS
🧩 Purpose & Philosophy
Class assemblies are an integral part of the school’s efforts to develop:
- Public speaking
- Confidence and stage presence
- Team spirit
- Value education
- Awareness of current events, culture, and moral themes
They are student-led with teacher guidance and promote participation, discipline, and creativity.
🗓 Assembly Structure
- Conducted regularly (often weekly or rotationally by class)
- May include:
- Prayer
- School Anthem
- Theme-based presentations
- Skits, songs, speeches, or thought of the day
- National anthem and updates/news
🧠 Student Participation
Students contribute through:
- Anchoring/hosting the assembly
- Performing short plays or skits
- Delivering value-based messages
- Singing or presenting special items (poems, facts, etc.)
Participation in class assemblies earns points toward:
- General Proficiency Awards
- House Competitions
